Walk of All Ages

This weekend my family and I joined the Walk of All Ages event, put on by Seniors Services Society of BC, on a beautiful sunny day. We walked with the community and partners in the Senior's advocacy space. I was there as a board member with Seniors First BC and many of our board members came out to show support for the well attended event. The sponsors were engaging, and the energy was full of community support. By walking side by side, younger and older, we send a powerful message: no senior should ever face a housing crisis alone.
Dan Levitt delivered a great speech that grounded the purpose of the event. His words reminded us why this work matters, and why we must keep showing up to support.
Events like the Walk of Ages bring people together in a simple, but meaningful way. They remind us that community comes together. I feel grateful for everyone who walked with us and for the ongoing work amongst various Senior's groups within our province.
