My Story:

I developed a passion for helping others early in my life through my work and volunteer experiences with children and youth. In these supportive and impactful roles, I aimed to foster learning, curiosity, and personal growth. I take pride in having contributed to organizations such as the City of Surrey, the Boys and Girls Club, and Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver.

My passion for Human Resources began when I realized that Accounting was not the right fit for me, despite my enjoyment of the business aspect. After reflecting on the University courses I completed, it became clear that my true path lay in Human Resources. I appreciate the people-oriented approach and the challenge of balancing organizational needs - it's a challenge I find exciting!

Over the past 15 years, I have worked for several well-established leaders in the hospitality, distribution, and non-profit sectors. I have held positions that are not only intrinsically rewarding but also allow me to make a significant impact in efforts to improve the world. Through my diverse experience across different industries, I have learned to adapt to various environments. Nonetheless, I have come to realize that the principles of HR remain consistent, regardless of the industry or the number of stakeholders involved.

I have served as the sole HR representative and have led teams of up to 20 direct reports. My passion lies in developing teams from the ground up through impactful labor and employee relations that value each individual's desire for growth and development.

I believe that people expect to be recognized, treated fairly, and value opportunities for development. Sounds simple - but sometimes organizations need assistance navigating through all the tremendous noise. Let's Talk!
